Good morning Sun !
Have you ever wished Sun a good morning? Last week when I was up and speeding myself on
the freeway on my motorcycle, I saw the Sun waking up lazily from his slumber.
I couldn't wait myself to pull over and catch the Sun rise up the horizon. I
wished him a very good morning. We exchanged smiles.
Motorcycling has given me experiences that will stay close
to my heart until my last breath. I am not a professional rider. I am just a
beginner and have done a few good road trips across the states in South India . A long way to go and a lot more to learn.
There are frames we move our souls into, while on a
motorcycle. No destination can put us in that frame that binds us to the very
life. The subtle rush from within, that brings immense joy has always kept me
wanting to be on the road.
With a push of a button that sparks the engine, setting
the pistons in motion, generating power that is driven to the rear wheel by a
chain (not necessarily), you are getting ignited from within. And the engine howling from under the tanks with the
twist of a throttle, it moves our soul to another world. It is a feeling that no
word can explain. I do talk to my motorcycle.
Motorcycling demands a huge responsibility and a good common sense to tackle the infinite dangers out there on the roads.
Experience is a good teacher, but predicting and seeing the possibilities up ahead
is very important and should be calculated before hand.
The best thing about motorcycling is the uncertainty that revolves around it. There are a lot many uncertain factors that come into play every single moment you ride. And that is a sheer challenge. A tiny piece of rock on the road while encountering a bent could be fatal. The essence of motorcycling is how one tames this uncertainty.
Like someone has quoted, "car moves the body, a motorcycle moves the soul." :-)
